v0.15.0 · The Carnival, Reworked
Stardust replaces Starmaster quests, Live Dice pays Stars, and a Community Goal for everyone.
Hey everyone! The Carnival is coming back, and if you played in September, a lot has changed. Here's what's new before the gates open.
Patch Highlights
- Stardust replaces Starmaster quests
- Live Dice pays Stars, with a Jackpot that grows every round
- Earn Stars from the cards you already own
- 8 new Carnival cards, from 2,500 up to 8,000 CPS
- Community Goal: everyone's Stardust adds up to one big goal, with rewards for all who join in
Stardust (new)
- Carnival slots: you get 4 Carnival slots. Put cards in them and each card earns Stardust equal to its CPS, every second.
- 12-hour sessions: cards earn for up to 12 hours after your last collect. Tap Collect on a card, or Collect All, to bank your Stardust and start a fresh 12 hours.
- Active Binder or Carnival, not both: a card in your active Binder can't go in a Carnival slot, but cards in your other Binders can. Switch to a Binder that holds a Carnival card and it leaves its Carnival slot (you keep its Stardust). Equip Best Card fills a slot with your strongest free card.
- Locked while slotted: a card in a Carnival slot can't be recycled, listed, auctioned or sacrificed. Sending it by Mail frees the slot, and you keep the Stardust it earned.
- Converter: turn Stardust into Stars. Your first 20 Stars each day cost 25,000 Stardust each. After that each Star costs more (275,000, then 1,025,000, then 2,275,000 and up). Prices reset at 12:00 AM Manila time.
- Auto-convert: at 12:00 AM your leftover Stardust turns into Stars at that day's prices, so nothing goes to waste. Prefer to convert yourself? Turn it off on the Stardust tab.
- When the Carnival ends: with auto-convert on, your last day's Stardust converts automatically. Anything left over after that expires.
Context: Starmaster quests asked you to do chores for Stars. Stardust rewards the collection you already built: stronger cards earn more, but the first 20 Stars each day are cheap, so a starter collection gets there too.
Community Goal (new)
- One goal, everyone together: all the Stardust every player earns this Carnival counts toward one shared goal of 400B Stardust.
- Pending counts too: Stardust your cards earn counts the moment they earn it, even before you tap Collect.
- Progress bar on every page: see how close we are at the top of the screen, for example "Community goal: 212.4B / 400B Stardust · 53%". Tap it to jump to the Carnival.
- Rewards: when we reach the goal, everyone who earned any Stardust this Carnival gets 20 Stars and 3 Diamonds in their Mail. Tap Receive to claim them.
- Reached for good: once we hit it, the bar says so for the rest of the Carnival, and Live News celebrates.
Context: the Carnival only runs for 7 days. Every card you put in a Carnival slot helps everyone get there, so join in early!
Live Dice (changed)
- Stars instead of Tickets: your number on 1 die pays 3 Stars, on 2 dice 10 Stars. Bets no longer pay Tickets back.
- Jackpot in Stars: your number on all 3 dice wins the Jackpot. It starts at 100 Stars, grows by 5 every round nobody hits it (up to 1,000) and is split between that round's winners. The Jackpot card is gone.
- Your bet starts the round: when no round is running, the first bet starts one, and betting stays open for everyone.
- Bet prices: your first 5 bets each day cost 1,000 Tickets each, then each bet costs 500 more (1,500, 2,000 and up). Prices reset at 12:00 AM. There's no daily limit.
- Up to 2 numbers per round.
- Win popup: when you win, a popup shows your Stars on whatever page you're on.
- Auto-bet: repeats your last numbers every round while you're on the Carnival page. It keeps going as the price rises, so turn it off when you're done.
Sacrifice (changed)
- 50 cards = 1 Star (was 20).
Carnival Cards (changed)
- 8 new cards: Pocari Iroha, Super Leesol, Choco Jihyo, Pink Jennie, Flaming Hot Yunjin, Odd Eye Sakura, Pink Asa and Dreamy Hyein.
- Wider CPS spread: October's cards go from 2,500 up to 8,000 CPS. September's went from 3,000 to 7,000.
- Stronger top cards: Pink Asa (7,000–7,500) and Dreamy Hyein (7,500–8,000) beat every September card. Dreamy Hyein is the chase card, as strong as the best Exclusives.
- Bigger rolls in the middle: Super Leesol, Choco Jihyo and Pink Jennie can roll anywhere in a 1,000 CPS range, so a lucky copy is worth more.
- September cards keep their CPS.
Context: With Stardust, a card's CPS now also decides how fast it earns Stars, so the top of the Carnival needed cards worth chasing. The wider spread gives every pull its own value, and the top card is a long-term goal without making Exclusives worse.
System Auctions (changed)
- Max bids: set the most you'd pay and the game bids for you, only as much as needed to stay ahead. Your whole max is held while you lead; when the auction ends you pay the final price and the rest comes back.
- Raise your max any time while you're leading. Bids placed by a max show an auto tag.
- Serial #1: the winner always gets the card as serial #1.
Still at the fair
- Carnival Boxes with Carnival-only cards, bought with Stars.
Quality of Life
- Stars and Stardust show at the top of every Carnival tab.
- Bet buttons show what your next bet costs.
- Live News announces big Live Dice wins in Stars.
Have fun at the fair, let's hit that goal together, and tell us in Chat what you think of the new Carnival!
