Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about Binder, the free K-pop photocard collecting game.

Account

What happens during maintenance?

Sometimes we need to work on the game. Before it starts, a countdown bar appears at the top of every page, and Live News reminds you 1 hour and 10 minutes before.

  • Gameplay maintenance: the Store, Inventory, Marketplace, Mail, Carnival and other game pages close for a while, but Chat Rooms, Messages, your profile, Friends, Browse, Settings and the Information pages stay open.
  • Full maintenance: everything closes, but you can still read the Patch Notes, FAQ and Guides, and use Forgot your password? or Can't log in? Contact support on the login page.

While you wait, your cards keep earning Coins as usual (up to your offline limit). Auctions don't end during maintenance, and live auctions get the lost time back afterwards. Opening the site still counts for your login streak.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Tap Forgot your password? on the login page and enter your username or email. We'll send a 6-digit code to the email on your account; enter it with your new password. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder and mark it as "not spam" so future emails reach your inbox. Still stuck? Tap Can't log in? Contact support on the login page and we'll reply by email.

How do I keep my account safe?

Verify your email, turn on two-step login in Settings, and never share your password. Staff will never ask for it. When you verify your email, look for our message in your inbox, and check your spam or junk folder if it isn't there.

I didn't get an email from Binder. What now?

Wait a few minutes, then check your spam or junk folder. Our emails (password resets, email verification) sometimes land there. Mark the email as "not spam" so the next ones reach your inbox. Still nothing? Make sure the email address in Settings is right, or Submit a Ticket.

How do I report a bug or a player?

Report a player from their profile. For bugs, account or purchase problems, questions and ideas, open Submit a Ticket in the Information menu and pick a topic. It may show you an answer right away. Otherwise fill in a few details, add screenshots if you can (paste, drag or take a photo), and send. You'll get a notification when staff reply, and you can mark it fixed, rate the help, or reopen it within 7 days.

What are patch notes?

A list of everything that changed in each update. You'll find them in Patch Notes under Information, and you get a small reward the first time you read a new one.

Cards and boxes

How often does the Store change?

Every 2 minutes. The lineup is the same for everyone, and you can buy each box once per rotation.

What are Shiny and Prismatic cards?

Rare versions of a card. Shiny cards (1% chance) earn 1.5× CPS; Prismatic cards (0.1% chance) earn 2× CPS.

What's a serial number?

Every copy of a card is numbered in the order it was pulled: #1 is the first copy ever. You can see it by tapping the card.

How do I protect a card I want to keep?

Lock it from the card menu. Locked cards can't be recycled, listed or mailed until you unlock them.

Coins and earning

Why aren't I earning Coins?

Only equipped cards earn Coins. Check that your cards are in slots in your active Binder.

Do my cards earn while I'm offline?

Yes, for up to 12 hours since you last collected. After that they stop until you collect again. VIP levels add extra hours.

What is CPS?

CPS means Coins per second. Each card has a CPS value, and your total CPS is the sum of all your equipped cards.

What does Collect All do?

It's a one-time unlock (100 Diamonds) that collects every card's Coins in one tap, instead of collecting card by card.

Currencies

What are Coins, Tickets and Diamonds?

Coins come from your cards and buy boxes and equipment slots. Tickets come from recycling cards and are used for trading, Mail and some upgrades. Diamonds are the premium currency for VIP, Collect All and some Exclusive boxes.

How do I get Tickets?

Recycle cards you don't need from your Inventory. Rarer cards give more Tickets. You can also earn Tickets by selling cards to other players.

How do I get Diamonds?

From daily rewards and streak milestones, a one-time reward for verifying your email (check your spam folder if the verification email doesn't show up), and the Diamond Shop tab in the Store, where you buy Diamonds in bundles with Coins. Your first 3,000 Diamonds each day cost 10M Coins each; after that the price per Diamond goes up, and it resets at 12:00 AM Manila time. A purchase stops at the end of the current price unless you turn on Allow higher prices, so you never pay the next price by accident. The buy window shows the exact cost before you confirm.

Friends and Mail

How do I send a card to a friend?

Open Mail and tap Send a Gift, pick the player, choose cards or Tickets (one gift carries one or the other, not both), and send. They get it when they tap Receive. Sending costs a small Coin fee.

Can I send Coins or Diamonds?

No. Only cards and Tickets can be sent with Mail.

Getting started

What is Binder?

Binder is a photocard collecting game. You open boxes to pull photocards, equip them in your Binder to earn Coins every second, and use those Coins to open more boxes. You can trade cards with other players on the Marketplace, chat, and climb the leaderboards.

Is Binder free to play?

Yes. Everything in the game is earned by playing. There's no way to pay real money.

How do I start?

Open a box in the Store, equip the card in Binders, then collect the Coins it earns on Home. The "Your first steps" guide walks you through it.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Binder works in your phone's browser, and you can install it like an app from Download App for quicker access and notifications.

Marketplace and auctions

How do I sell a card?

In your Inventory, open the card menu (⋮) and choose List on Marketplace or Start an auction. When it sells, collect your Tickets in Marketplace → Market → My Listings & Sales, or in Auctions → My Auctions for auctions. A red badge on Marketplace shows when something is waiting. Cards you win are claimed in Auctions → My Bids. You can also list or auction many cards at once with Select Multiple in Inventory.

Is there a fee for selling?

Yes, a 10% tax is taken from the sale price when a card sells. Listing is free.

What's Trade Value?

What a card usually sells for, based on recent sales of that card. It updates with every sale. Next to it, green +% or red −% shows how it moved over 1, 7 or 30 days, and view history lists every sale of that card.

How do max bids work?

Tap Bid on an auction, tick Max bid in the bid window and enter the most you'd pay. The game bids for you, only as much as needed, up to your max. Your whole max is held while you lead; the unused part comes back when the auction ends or you're outbid. If someone bids exactly the same amount as a max, the max that was set first keeps the lead (the history shows "tie, earlier max wins").

Why did an auction's timer go back up?

A bid in the last 15 minutes resets the timer to 15 minutes, so everyone gets a fair chance to answer it.
