Terms of Service

Effective September 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using Binder, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Rules & Regulations, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use Binder.

2. About Binder

Binder is an unofficial, non-commercial, fan-made K-pop virtual photocard collecting game, currently in Open Beta. Binder is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by any featured artist, idol, entertainment agency, record label, photographer, publisher, manufacturer, or other rights holder.

3. Eligibility and Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
  • Accounts may not be bought, sold, shared, or transferred (see the Rules & Regulations).
  • Staff may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account for violations of these Terms or the Rules & Regulations, at their discretion.

4. Virtual Items and Currency

  • Coins, Diamonds, Tickets, virtual photocards, and other in-game items exist only within Binder and have no real-world monetary value.
  • Binder does not currently sell virtual currency or items for real money, and does not process real-world payments.
  • Because there is no real-money purchase system, there is no refund process for in-game currency or items.
  • Trading, buying, or selling accounts, currency, or items for real money outside Binder is prohibited (see the Rules & Regulations) and happens entirely outside any protection Binder can offer.

5. Intellectual Property and Fan Project Disclaimer

  • Binder is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project.
  • Binder is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by any featured artist, idol, entertainment agency, record label, photographer, publisher, manufacturer, or other rights holder.
  • Names, trademarks, photographs, images, photocard artwork, logos, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.
  • Binder does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property merely because it appears inside the game, and does not claim that its use of such material is automatically fair use or otherwise licensed.
  • Virtual Binder cards, serial numbers, CPS values, rarity, ownership history, marketplace history, game currencies, and other game metadata are Binder gameplay data, separate from ownership of the underlying photograph or artwork. Obtaining a virtual card does not grant you copyright or other intellectual-property rights in the underlying photograph or artwork.

6. Artwork and Content Changes

Binder may remove, disable, replace, or update images, artwork, names, logos, or other media when necessary, including in response to intellectual-property concerns or rights-holder requests. Where technically possible, changing or removing artwork will not delete or invalidate your virtual card, and the following can remain unchanged: card ownership, serial number, rarity, CPS/statistics, mutation, acquisition history, marketplace history, and other gameplay metadata. For example, a disputed image may be replaced with a placeholder or alternative asset while the underlying virtual card continues to exist.

7. Copyright and Content Removal Requests

Rights holders or their authorized representatives may contact us about content they believe infringes their rights. See our Copyright / Content Removal page for the full process. We review legitimate requests, may temporarily disable content while reviewing, and may remove or replace content where appropriate. We cannot promise removal in every case or within a fixed deadline.

8. Your Conduct and Content

  • You agree to follow the Rules & Regulations when using chat, private messages, your profile, and other community features.
  • Chat messages, private messages, usernames, display names, and bios are stored as submitted and may be visible to other players or staff; do not include personal or sensitive information in them.
  • You are responsible for content you post. Binder may remove content or take enforcement action (mute, warning, suspension, ban) for violations, per the Rules & Regulations.

9. Service Availability and Changes

Binder is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Features, game balance, and content may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Binder and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of virtual currency, items, or progress.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Minor clarifications do not require you to re-accept them. If we make a significant change, we will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you can continue using account-gated areas of Binder, without deleting or resetting your account or progress.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent via Submit a Ticket, or to binder.support@gmail.com for copyright-specific matters.
