Maintenance with a heads-up, a countdown and Community still open.
Hey everyone! Maintenance used to mean the whole game went dark, without warning. Not anymore. With the Carnival update on the horizon, we made maintenance a lot friendlier.

- Gameplay maintenance: Community stays open
- Countdowns before and during maintenance
- Fair auctions when the game comes back
Maintenance
- Two kinds: most of the time only the game itself goes down. During gameplay maintenance, Chat Rooms, Messages, your profile, Friends, Browse, Settings and Information stay open, so you can hang out while we work. A full maintenance closes everything else, but Patch Notes, the FAQ and Guides stay readable.
- A heads-up: a countdown bar appears at the top of every page before maintenance starts, and Live News reminds you 1 hour and 10 minutes before.
- Back in…: during maintenance, the bar shows when the game is expected back.
- Login page: you can still sign in, reset your password, contact support and read the Patch Notes.
Context: We'd rather you hear about maintenance from us than find a closed door. And chatting with friends shouldn't stop just because the Store is getting an upgrade.
Fairness
- Auctions get the time back: auctions don't end during maintenance. When it's over, every live auction is extended by however long it took.
- Coins keep building: your cards keep earning while you wait (up to your offline limit).
- Login streaks: opening the site during maintenance still counts for your streak.
Quality of Life
- A proper maintenance screen: it shows why we're down, a live countdown, and links to the Patch Notes, FAQ and Guides.
